Our actions and policies should be motivated by long-term goals.

Our Mission

Friends of Joseph Naham is guided by the Ten Key Values of the United States Green Party.  The Ten Key Values are Grassroots Democracy, Social Justice and Equal Opportunity, Ecological Wisdom, Non-Violence, Decentralization, Community Based Economics, Feminism and Gender Equity, Respect for Diversity, Personal and Global Responsibility and Future Focus and Sustainability.  Joseph Naham is currently running with Allison Blanchette for Long Beach City Council.  Joseph's campaign is interested in creating a local movement, a people's movement with a focus on improving our communities infrastructure, economy, and environmental actions with an emphasis on recognizing the freedom and dignity of all humans.

Democracy is for representing the people, and now it needs to include not only representation of the people and their communities but the sustainability of the environment. Our voice is our power and our environment is our gift.

Joseph Naham, and Allison Blanchette are not afraid of giving members of the local Long City Council a visual look at the effects of our choices:

The average person uses this many plastic bags every year.

The average person uses this many plastic bags every year.

The ‘democracy gap’ in our politics and elections spells a deep sense of powerlessness by people who drop out, do not vote, or listlessly vote for the ‘least worst’ every four years and then wonder why after every cycle the ‘least worst’ gets worse.
— Ralph Nadar
